Pratap Patgar

Born into a fractured family, Pratap Patgar faced a childhood of neglect, abuse, and struggle. Diagnosed with ADHD, he was often self-injurious, aggressive, and withdrawn. When he arrived at Manorang Foundation on June 6, 2023, he barely made eye contact, had poor hand coordination, and isolated himself.

Through structured therapy, sports engagement, and holistic training, Pratap transformed. Table tennis became his anchor, helping him channel his energy positively. Today, he is one of the top table tennis players at the state level, having competed in two state championships and a national championship in Chandigarh, where he secured first place. His dedication and growth have earned him a nomination to represent India in the 2027 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Chile.

More than just victories, sports have helped regulate his behavioral conditions, build discipline, and improve social interactions. From a child abandoned by his family to a champion in the making, Pratap’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience and right guidance.
